Forum for literature, art and music. And: An intellectual and cultural centre for urban society

Stuttgart City Library is an intellectual and cultural centre of the city's society. In addition to the possibility of borrowing (digital) media such as books, CDs, DVDs and eBooks, an extensive programme of events makes it an important forum for literature, art and music. Its dense network includes the central city library on Mailänder Platz with a children's library, music library and graphics library as well as 18 district libraries and two pop-up libraries, two book buses and a library of things. With a total stock of more than one million books and media, it is one of the largest municipal libraries in Germany.
